Partnering for Optimal Health

The elimination of symptoms is usually the easiest part of a person’s treatment for a chiropractor.

If all a chiropractor does is reduce the pain and stop there, it is very likely that the condition will reappear. It takes time for correction of the spine to remain.

To prevent the symptoms from quickly reappearing, it is necessary to continue receiving care even though your symptoms are gone

Written Simply: Pain Is a VERY Poor Benchmark of Health.

During the Corrective Phase, you will likely receive more aggressive treatment than during the Pain Relief Phase; however, how often you come for treatment may decrease. Your chiropractor might also recommend beginning or adding exercises and stretches to your treatment in the office, in addition to teaching you what you can do at home to help accelerate your healing.

It is important to know that mild flare-ups in your symptoms can sometimes occur. This is normal. Flare-ups happen because your body has not fully healed. Depending on the severity of your injury or condition and how long you have been suffering from it, this phase of your care may last from a few months to a few years.
